Any other ideas? I have tried multiple clean installs of BF3, running the full standalone installation of the directx runtime. This is the sum of the video card memory and the Directx memory. I have hit the memory limit on other games with older cards, and instead of crashing I am greeted with performance dips. After that it just goes to desktop when game manager is in the "Playing" status (bf3.exe keeps running and consuming 1gb+ memory - have to kill the process) or i have When you have rebooted you should be good to go.

Try 64-bit Windows, where such tweaks are unnecessary. After a lot of googling i found a fix that worked! http://bf3.realmware.co.uk/battlelog...alone/features (its based on IE) I had this issue once (i have pagefile off), it looked more like driver issue but idk which driver anymore, i think some early 301.xx.. check over here But now Microsoft has already chosen proper values for it, just like page file.
System memory for bf3.exe is right at 2GB. P.S bcdedit should'nt be the problem's solution , since game runs under 2 gig and full system never reaches over 3.8 -3.9 gig with BF3 /browser /Origin/AV and some few apps. As for the Windows 8 thing, basically the only thing that supports W8 on my system is the video driver :P However, W8 is built on top of W7, so everything http://www.evga.com/forums/tm.aspx?m=1337896&mpage=1 [evga.com] Edit 2: this fix made the game working alot longer.
